B&E General Contractors is proud to announce that its founder and president, Mark A. Brick, CR, CGR, CAPS, has recently earned and been awarded his designation of Master Certified Remodeler, from NARI National. Mark is the 51st person in the nation to receive this rare designation. As well, Mark has also earned his designation as a Universal Design Certified Professional, a title which was earned upon completion of comprehensive review and testing.


2011 WRA Awards ( Wisconsin Remodelers Awards) 
Gold Award: Residential Bathroom, $30,000-$60,000: This original bathroom was barrier laden, creating obstacles for the owners. The new universal access design encompasses an oversized / no-threshold shower, non-abrasive surfaces, cabinetry and fixtures accommodating medical equipment, in-reach grooming niches, pocket door entry, in-floor heat, and concealed in-reach electrical power outlets.

Gold Award: Residential Addition, $100,000-$250,000: This sunroom addition features oversized accordion-style retractable windows and doors, dramatic cathedral ceiling, interior unique usage of cedar, brick and tile materials, and exterior molding, brick and sill details which match the existing home structure.

2010: Regional Winner (Silver): Commercial Interior Renovation 
B&E Created a Wine Tasting and Education Center for Ray’s Wines in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Underutilized office and storage space was converted into a spacious education room, featuring specific wine cooling systems, custom demonstration cabinetry and countertops, custom storage, built-in appliances, custom participant tables, unique flooring and integrated lighting and audio-visual systems.   

This project has also earned B&E a NARI National Contractor of the Year title of Region 3 winner, and now competes for National Contractor of the Year (CoTY) title.

2010: Regional Winner (Silver): Entire House Remodel, $250,000-$500,000
This home featured extensive green remodeling amenities, including a geo-thermal heating system, rooftop solar panels, recycled materials, water recycling system, natural materials ( ie concrete countertops, cement siding), low voc finishes ( paint and stains), energy efficient windows, locally produced specialty items ( to decrease carbon footprint), and high efficiency appliances.

This project has also earned B&E National NARI award as a 2011 Green Project Recognition winner, one of only seven to be awarded nation-wide.

This entire home renovation was honored by NARI as one of only seven recognized nation-wide. This home includes numerous sustainable and energy saving building innovations, including geothermal heating, low voc finishes, recycled materials, use of local materials ( decreasing carbon footprint), donation of original home materials to recycling facilities and re-sale entities for use in other homes, enrgy saving lighting, windows, doors, and use of natural materials ( wood, glass, concrete, stone).

2009: Bayside, Wisconsin: Residential Exterior Specialty: Creation of an outdoor kitchen dining and cooking center, reflecting pool, formal garden and privacy enclosure. The kitchen area includes a formal grill/refrigeration area and granite service bar, adjoining masonry building for storage and mechanicals. The building and cooking bar are masonry/brick to match the existing home. A custom pergola frames the roof area. A herringbone brick patio surrounds the entire patio. The curved privacy sitting wall pool and gardens feature limestone, tile, matching brick,, fountains, and multiple lighting accessories

Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin: Residential Addition ( $100,000 - $250.000): Historically precise Tudor style addition, featuring the new three and one-half car addition, with a porte- cochere and attic storage space. Highlights include a clay tile roof, copper gutters, lannon stone quoining, stucco exterior with cedar timbers and brick, carriage-style garage doors and double service entry doors.
